Why I named my company after a feeling

I have another blog that’s my breakdown on emotions. To learn more about how I view the difference between emotions and feelings. Go check that out [here].

Relief is a feeling, not an emotion.

I like to identify definitions to hopefully resolve any misunderstandings as we continue. My definition of relief is a mild sense of joy due to the removing of anxiety or, eliminating that which was once annoying, frustrating, or impeding.

But why name a company after an emotion?

Well, one reason is that it’s just a good ole branding and psychology trick. Whenever you think about my company you’ll hopefully and likely associate it with a memory you have feeling relief, thus, linking a positive association with the company off the bat, before you know anything about it.

Also, it will hopefully make you ask yourself, “what do they do? I want to feel relief!”

Besides that, however, one of the main goals of the company is literally to help people feel a sense of relief in their lives on a more regular, and ideally, daily basis.

All that comes from my realization that I love the feeling of relief. It’s liberating. Small things can trigger the feeling such as the door sliding open just right and clicking ever so effortlessly into place, or perhaps when something seems out of reach, but when you go to reach for it, it’s within perfect arms reach.

Bigger things can lead to bigger feelings of relief, but that letting go of stress, frustration, fear, or anger is so euphorically envigorating.

I want to spread and share that feeling with as many people as possible. Increasing the relief around the world, hence up….relief.

So if you want to feel relief reach out and let’s chat about how we can make it happen!
