Our process relieves the overwhelm, stress, and anxiety of home organizing

The Plan

1. Discovery Call 

  • Before we come and do any work we like to hop on a call to get to know you and better understand your specific situation so that we can best serve you. 

 

  • On this call, we’ll also map out your plan by deciding what rooms we’re going to get done in what order

 

  • We’ll also go over well, this process, and our pricing again, lastly we’ll collect payment for the walkthrough if you haven’t paid yet.

 2. Match

  • We’ll match you with your home organizer via a group text.

 

3. Schedule

  • Once matched with your organizer they will send you a few times to pick from to schedule a 30 minute walk-through.

The Walkthrough

1. Greeting

  • The organizer will arrive on time, and you’ll exchange pleasantries as they put on their indoor shoes.

 

  • There’s no need to prep anything for this we prefer to see the house as it normally is.

2. The walkthrough room by room

  • We’ll then go room by room with you in the order of the plan that was mapped out over the phone.

 

  • If needed we can adjust that plan during the walkthrough, or at any time throughout the process. The plan just keeps us moving

3. A few more questions

  • We’ll ask a few questions that will help your organizer best serve you.

4. Photos of the rooms

  • After that, we’ll take photos of every room in the plan.

 

This is for:

A) Our records in the event we have to switch organizers, something we try not to do if we can, but life happens.

B) To make before and after photos so you can see your progress and effort

C) Social media content if we get your approval to use the before and after photos, totally okay if you’d rather we don’t. However, that content does tremendously help us.

 

5. Schedule session 1

  • After all that is complete and we will schedule your first session

Prep Before Session

Depending on what room we’re helping with we just ask that you have it ready in terms of having: 

 

  • All the laundry done
  • All the groceries bought
  • All the dishes done
  • Basically, if it needs a place to be in the home, we need it there when we are organizing the space.

Sessions (room by room)

Standard Organizing

1. Sort / Categorize

  • Set up, clear surfaces
  • Go over  ‘FOU’ – Frequency of Use – aka how often do you use the item daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. We’ll have you tag each item.
  • We’ll go through each item of the room and decide if we’re going to donate, trash, or keep it!
  • As we do that we’ll be placing these items into categories
  • Once done with that well schedule the necessary parties to come to pick up and dump or donate the items we are discarding
  • From there we’ll also schedule a product selection date. 

2. Product selection day

  • On this day we measure out all the spaces, check inventory, and identify how many and what products we need to purchase for your specific space and needs. 
  • This is also where we start setting up the systems that help to keep you organized.
  • At the end of the session we will walk through what we have selected with you.
  • You then purchase the products your happy with.
  • Lastly we Schedule the product install, but may adjust this date if all the product hasn’t arrived yet.

3. Product Install day

  • Once all the product is in we come and put all the items in the bins and organizers or set up shelving and mount hooks and such.
  • Schedule a review

4. Complementary Review 

  • Once you’ve lived with the new solutions for about a week or two we’ll come back and check to see how things are working and make any necessary adjustments.
  • If we need anything else we’ll also have you purchase that, and then we’ll just install it at the next session.
  • We’ll also take some after photos 

Unpacking

1. Sort boxes by room

  • This might be quick, it depends greatly on how well the movers did, however more often than not, then don’t do this. So it’s the first step for us when doing unpack jobs and saves us a lot of time in the long run.
  • This only happens in the first session, ones the boxes are sorted we can just do step 2-4 moving forward

2. Unpack the room

  • We’ll think about what needs to go where based on our FOU method and then will start unpacking each box one by one until they are all empty and broken down.
3. Product selection day
  • On this day we measure out all the spaces, check inventory, and identify how many and what products we need to purchase for your specific space and needs. 
  • This is also where we start setting up the systems that help to keep you organized.
  • At the end of the session we will walk through what we have selected with you.

Tidying Services

Once we’ve got you organized one of our Tidying Consultants can come by daily, weekly, or bi-weekly help maintain and keep the space looking organized and tidy! 

 

They can help with things like putting toys away, folding and putting away laundry, clearing off counter tops, or sorting mail.
